Well friends, it’s been a rough week here in the Bertolini house. On Friday I got laid off. Over the weekend, the hubs’ baseball team lost in their District Championship game; one game away from going to the World Series. And on Tuesday, I came home to find a dead laptop. Talk about some crappy things happening, huh? But ya know what? It could always be worse. In the grand scheme of things, it’s just a job, a game and a broken computer. All things you’re allowed to be upset about, but not let them drag you down. Clearly this is just God telling me I should be a full-time blogger, right!? 🙂 I’m a big believer in everything happening for a reason and I have no doubt there are great things in our future.
So what does any recently unemployed person do? Buy a brand new iMac of course! All those times my parents reminded me I should be saving my money when I got my first job out of college paid off. Mom & Dad always know best. I have a bit of a makeshift space set up right now, but I can’t wait to find the perfect desk to repurpose for my new baby. As a graphic designer, I find it much easier to work on a desktop than a laptop, and it’s definitely going to be better platform for blogging too.
I’d like to apologize for being a bit off the radar this past week but now that I have all the free time in the world, you can expect lots of brepurposing coming your way. I’ve already been approached about a really exciting opportunity that I hope I can share with you soon! In lieu of the usual Friday’s Fab Freebie, I’m just going to share with you a quote that really resonates with me right now.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

When it rains it pours… one of my FAVORITE quotes of all time is “Behind the clouds, the sun is still shining” by Longfellow. Even if its raining, you know something good will come from it 🙂 Can’t wait to see the growth Brepurposed gets from having a little extra time to spend on blogging!!!

That’s what I’m hoping for Nicole! Thanks for the encouragement!

I wholeheartedly believe as well that everything happens for a reason. I’ve come across so many people who found themselves in a similar situation and came out of it to find even better opportunities and situations than they were in before. I have no doubt in my mind this is just a little speed bump for you. You are destined for greatness no matter what, I can feel it!!!

You’re the sweetest! Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I know this happens to people every day and the only thing you can do is make the best of it. I’m looking forward to a new journey, whatever it might be! xo

Bre – it was totally a pleasure to work with you. You definitely have a creative eye and a passion for quality design. Whistled tunes and lunches outside were also enjoyable .
I have this quote I love from Pastor Steven Furtick: “Maybe one day we’ll see that the greatest setbacks in our lives were actually the greatest setups to seeing God’s glory in places we didn’t even know to look.”
Good luck with the next step! : )

Aw Toph you’re gonna make me cry! It was amazing to work with such a talented person like yourself and I’m going to miss that! No lunches outside allowed with anyone else 😉 haha jk.
I came across a quote VERY similar to that one last night and I love it. Thank you for sharing.
Miss you guys already!
