Every pretty plant needs a pretty planter or stand right? Of course! But they can be seriously expensive. So imagine my excitement when I found the perfect stands at the thrift store for $5. Holla! There were 3 of them and I’m still kicking myself for only taking two. No idea why I did that. But nonetheless I’m pretty pumped about this Thrifted Plant Stand Makeover.
THRIFTED PLANT STAND MAKEOVER
It was my first thrifting adventure since E was born and I was on the hunt for a little table I needed for this post a little while back. I found that sewing table and then I found these amazing little stands.
How cute, right?! Like I said, I grabbed two of them and walked out of there with a huge smile on my face. They didn’t need much work at all, just a little paint and fresh stain and they’d be the perfect little modern plant stands.
One set of legs was pretty beat up, so I ended up sanding them and re-staining them. The other one I just left as is.
I used my go to Dark Walnut and added a coat of Poly on top.
For the round tops, I gave them each a few coats of white spray paint.
And the hardware got a fresh coat of gold spray paint. Then I put them back together and got these little cuties 🙂
This one’s in the sitting nook in our master and the other one is in our living room. I’m kinda obsessed. Such an easy makeover and they go perfectly with our decor. And yes, this plant is still alive and well 😉
