Things are finally starting to move forward with our renovations and I couldn’t be happier! As a recap, we’re replacing all the flooring on our main level with wood look tile. The floors will be going in in a couple of weeks but there’s lots of work to be done before that. We had a garage sale last weekend to get rid of a bunch of stuff which was very successful and helped clear out a lot of room.
I started doing some painting in our entryway which felt SO good. Dan’s mom had painted some very interesting wall decals on the walls that I have been wanting to paint over since we moved in. I’ve never been more excited to have some fresh, white walls!
Next Wednesday, we have painters coming to paint the rest of the downstairs (mainly the living/dining room and some of the stairway). Usually I’m all about painting myself and don’t mind doing it, but we have suuuuper high ceilings in what will be the new family room and it just wasn’t something I could do on my own. As a DIYer I’m actually excited to have a professional come to do something for once – it’s kind of a relief ha.
After the painters come we need to lay new subfloor and get ready for our NEW FLOORS. Ah I seriously can’t wait. Our house is going to be a complete disaster for a while but it’s going to be so worth it in the end.
We don’t have any big plans for Labor Day weekend – just getting the rest of the downstairs cleared out and ready for the painters. We might head up to Presque Isle in Erie for the day and enjoy the beach for one last time before summer is over. I’m kind of ready for fall and all the coziness!
Here’s what I’m loving on this week:
I need to pick out tile for our fireplace makeover and have pinned some seriously gorgeous inspo!
I’m starting to think about my fall wardrobe and am loving this grey coat.
This adoption video is the absolute cutest thing ever – be prepared to cry.
Chai is one of my favorite drinks and this iced chai recipe sounds delish.
This candlestick holder would be perfect for a fall tablescape.
Have a great weekend guys!

That wood work cum seat on your wall is amazing. I would also love to have something similar in my entry-way.
