It’s official. We’re going to be participating in the One Room Challenge again and this time we’ll be tackling our master en suite. We figured since our room is going to be a mess while we put in our new hardwood tile floors, we might as well do it now. If you follow me on instagram, I shared a little behind the scenes look at what we’re working with and some ideas for the space. If you missed it, you can check out this home tour post I shared after we moved in. I’ve started planning out a mood board and coming up with the design plan, and hopefully sometime this week we’re going to have a contractor and plumber come over so we can make sure what we want to do is feasible. We’d like to expand the bathroom a bit into our bedroom, since we have plenty of room, so we need to check the structure of the walls. I’ve been a pinning machine lately, so I thought I’d share some of what I’m loving and what’s giving me inspiration. You can follow my bathroom board here!
This tub. I was almost certain I wanted a freestanding tub to soak in but then I saw this and everything changed. I love the wood planks and also think it’s a little more practical for bathing kiddos and having a ledge to set stuff on.
I’m going with a very clean and simple look of white tile with dark grout, brass fixtures and wood tones but I’m debating if I should break things up a bit with a pop of color on one of the walls. I’m between navy and a hunter green like this.
I mentioned I was on the hunt for a dresser or sideboard to use as our vanity like this one and I’m still searching. This one is perfection.
I love the unique pattern of this subway tile and the oversized round mirror. We plan to have a similar set up to this but maybe only one sink.
Also looove the tile on the wall here. It’s subtle but makes a statement while still being simple.
Everything. Just give me this whole bathroom and I’ll be happy.
This wood bench caught my eye. I love how it pops against all the white in the space and is so unique and different.
I’m usually not a fan of black. Which is ironic because there is A LOT of it in this house. But I came across these black steel frame shower doors and I absolutely need one.
Another gorgeous wood vanity with simple fixtures and a pretty vintage rug.
