MODERN NEUTRAL FALL TABLE SETTING

I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a huge seasonal decorator, but I do love to set the table during the fall when we entertain. Like the rest of our home, I like to keep things simple so this Modern Neutral Fall Table Setting is perfect for us.

I like to think of my table in layers, so when I’m starting to plan it out, I start at the bottom. The piece that inspired this whole design was the linen striped table runner. 

I love how simple it is with a classic striped pattern that can really go with so many different styles. And it fit in perfectly with the rest of my neutral decor.

And it’s from Walmart you guys! I seriously can’t get over their affordable and wide selection of home decor. Especially their fall decor – it’s all very on trend and tasteful.

Big centerpieces aren’t really my thing, so I like to keep things simple there too. I use amber glass bottles all over our home, for decor and soap dispensers. Their color is perfect for this time of year and placing a few on top of the table runner was all I needed.

Use varying heights to keep things interesting and keep the eye moving from one to the next. 

My favorite thing to put in my bottles is dried or faux eucalyptus. The green pairs so well with the deep amber color and adds a nice touch of nature. You could also put some wheat or pampas grass too!

For the actual place settings, I keep things pretty casual and simple here as well. With all the straight lines going on, I balanced it out with these round jute placemats. 

To contrast against all the lighter tones going on, I used some darker chambray napkins. I don’t like to get too formal and love that these have a more laid back look. I want our guests to feel comfortable at our table and not like they can’t touch anything!

Gold flatware is my go to when I’m setting our table for guests. Probably my favorite combo ever is a dark warm wood paired with a gold or brass accent. So these go perfectly against our DIY dining room table.

To personalize each setting, I used a gourd from a local farm to finish off the fall vibe.

And I couldn’t help but cozy up our little window seat with a new pillow. It has the perfect texture and brings some added warmth to the space.  

The kids love hanging out here and curling up with these pillows which makes me so happy to see!

So now that our dining room is all decked out and ready for fall, who’s coming over?!
