So I shared on my instagram stories a couple months ago that there was a photo shoot taking place in our house, but I couldn’t say for what. Well, now I can finally spill the beans and tell you all about it! I was contacted by Glitter Guide, who I’ve been a huge fan of for a while, about having a house tour featured on their site. Um yes please! If you aren’t familiar with them, they’re a super popular lifestyle brand that shares all sorts of inspiration including interiors, so of course I was on board.
We’ve also never had professional photos taken of our house so I was super excited about that too. I take all my blog photos myself, and I manage, but I still have a lot to learn. I got to choose my own local photographer and went with Tracy from Tracy Lynn Photography who I’ve gotten to know through instagram over the past year. I’ve met her once before and was super excited to finally work with her. She captured our home so beautifully AND got some truly amazing shots of me and the kiddos, which I’ll cherish forever.
I don’t think I ever realized how much work it takes to shoot an entire house. Usually for the blog, I shoot one room at a time which stresses me out getting it all cleaned and ready. But for all the rooms? I was cleaning like a crazy person for pretty much an entire week before the shoot even happened which was pretty pointless since Eloise just kept making messes. But she was such a good sport and I love the shots of her and I <3
If only our house could have stayed clean – I don’t think we even made it to the end of the day before it was pretty much destroyed again ha.
I’ve been taking photos of our house for a while now, so it was fun to see a fresh perspective on it and see it through someone else’s eyes. I love all the close up shots Tracy got, the details are always my favorite.
I wish I could share all the photos with you – they’re all so good! But head over to Glitter Guide to check out the full house tour and some interview questions!

Hi Bre,
Great Bathroom remodel. I’m about to do the same thing and I was wondering if you had to have the glass wall in the shower custom made? I think that’s what I will have to do because so far I have not found anything like it available commercially.
My sincere thanks,
